I didn’t pass either of my math classes this past year and I’m looking at a C in summer precalc. I’m transferring to RIT this fall … for CS. FML.

There’s 15k students- about 20 of them use this site to complain about their lives. If you’re even modestly outgoing, you’ll be fine. It’s the people that are the problem, not the school.

Ok I have said this a million times in these comments and I will say it again. This school is what you make it. Unfortunately a lot of the people here are quiet or art kids. This makes it hard for science/tech oriented people to get out of their comfort zone and make new friends. Probably the easiest thing to do is to find a club you are even remotely interested in and ask your roommate and neighbors to join you. I started going to the EGS club and I have instantly had more fun than any moment I had previously at RIT. Just remember you are going to RIT to learn but that doesn’t mean that you cant have some fun at the same time. If you are looking for something to do then stop by the EGS weekly meetings and play some video games with us.

To everybody who writes these: …seriously? It’s called RIT FML because sure enough sometimes life at RIT sucks. Most of the time it’s pretty awesome, and anyone who would judge a school based on an FML site is frankly an idiot. Do you read FMyLife.com and wish you weren’t born?

I return home and now I have bed sores and a stiff neck that is so bad that my head has been titled 20ยบ for a few days. Why? Adjusting to my old bed from the one at RIT.

Today, I got an F for a class that SIS told me I (apparently) didnt withdraw from, the professor hasnt returned my emails for 2 weeks, the department cant reach him and because of it im now on academic probation. FML

My former roommate stole most of the good furniture and left all his garbage and dirty dishes when he moved out this year. FML.

I already knew this would happen to me. The solution is to make the same changes at home that you made at RIT. Like if you started to party at RIT party at home. Eventually your two different personalities will merge closer together.

Everyone, at some point in their RIT career, wishes they had never laid eyes on the place. It can be a depressing place, especially during the winter.
That being said- it’s a great school, and it’s a lot of fun. I’m so glad I went to RIT- I wouldn’t change it for the world.
